Re: power steering 6211 Reply #2 Posted at Wed Apr 5 10: Many thanks renze but i forgot to mention i replaced the power steering oil i replaced the pump as a mechanic told me that the pump was failing but steering no better, the steering is not very bad when the tractor is moving, there is also a bit of free play there too. From buckets to showroom quality! I bought an old Ford 9N last October that was more than a labor of love - although the hood, engine and transmission compartments were laid out, the rest was in 5 gallon oil buckets! I knew this would be the perfect project for my son and I. I bought a service and parts manual from SSB and that Ford became a 6 month learning project for us. We overhauled the engine, reworked the brakes, rewired the electrical system, fixed the cooling system and found original paint and decals, with parts from SSB. It might have been faster to buy a ready-built tractor, but I wouldn't trade that time for anything!

• A core charge is a deposit that is refunded after your old part has been sent back to a re-manufacturing facility.

The condition of the old part can affect the usability of the core, in some cases partial or no refund may be given. If the part you purchased is a different part than the one being replaced, partial or no refund may be given. Please contact us for more details.

If core charge instructions are not included with the new item:

  1. Different types of parts go to different locations.
  2. Have your order number and invoice number (if different) ready.
  3. Please contact us, we will give you the address your core needs to be returned to, and any other instructions.

If you do not have a core to return, the core charge will not be refunded.

Power steering problems

Cores returned in a damaged state are subject to no or partial credit, so package them well for return as if they were a new product.
